Residential Demolition in Toronto
MetroPoint handles residential demolition scopes across Toronto and the GTA, from detached garages to larger structural removals.
Is this the right scope?
Prepare a residential property for a rebuild or an agreed removal.
House, garage and addition removals concern the structure and site. Renovating rooms inside a retained house belongs under interior demolition.

Define these items in writing

- Protection of retained property and agreed access
- Debris removal and defined site handover
What assessment needs to establish
- Detached versus attached construction
- Site boundaries, shared access and neighbouring conditions
- Utility disconnections, documents and handover level
About this service
Residential demolition begins with the property, not the machine. Building position, nearby homes, trees, overhead lines, shared walls, access and the proposed end condition all influence the plan. A garage removal has different requirements from a full house demolition or the partial removal of an attached structure.
Municipal approvals must be confirmed before work starts. Required utility disconnects are completed or verified by utility owners and appropriate licensed trades. The owner must also address designated-substance duties under section 30 of Ontario's OHSA, and asbestos-containing material must be managed under Ontario Regulation 278/05 where applicable. MetroPoint coordinates its work with the permits, reports and confirmations supplied for the project.
Once the site is ready, the crew establishes the work zone and follows the agreed removal sequence. Equipment selection depends on access and the structure. Material is sorted and loaded through the planned route, with the handover condition defined in writing. Excavation, grading, tree work or service abandonment should not be assumed unless each item is specifically included in the scope.
