Concrete Breaking and Removal in Toronto
MetroPoint breaks and removes concrete where access, thickness, reinforcement and nearby services can be reviewed before equipment is selected.
Is this the right scope?
Remove an agreed concrete slab or section and clear the material.
Breaking and removing concrete is different from lifting floor finishes above it. A foundation or structural slab also needs different assessment from a non-structural surface.

About this service
Concrete removal is planned around the slab or foundation thickness, reinforcement, access and what lies below or beside the work. A small exterior pad can require a different method from a basement slab or foundation wall. Saw cutting, breaking and machine access are identified in the written scope when applicable.
Before breaking begins, known utilities and embedded or nearby services must be located and managed by the appropriate parties. The project team should confirm whether the concrete is structural and whether a permit or professional review is required. If existing finishes or materials around the work may contain designated substances, the applicable assessment must be completed before disturbance.
The crew divides the work into manageable areas, breaks the concrete using equipment suited to the site and separates material for loading. Protection for retained walls, floors, landscaping or access routes is included where the scope requires it. Removed concrete is transported to an appropriate receiving facility. Backfill, compaction, new concrete and surface restoration are separate activities and are included only when specifically listed.
