Structural Demolition in Toronto
MetroPoint performs structural demolition where the scope, site conditions and required professional direction are established before removal begins.
Is this the right scope?
Remove part or all of a structure rather than only its finishes.
Load-bearing elements and whole structures have different planning dependencies from partitions or floor finishes. A website or photo cannot determine whether a wall carries load.
Only a partition? Compare non-structural wall removal ↗Where this scope stops
Professional design, required approvals and utility responsibilities must be established before affected work. New construction is not implied by a demolition scope.

About this service
Structural demolition changes or removes load-bearing elements, major assemblies or an entire structure. It requires a defined sequence that accounts for stability, neighbouring property, overhead and underground services, equipment access and the space available for sorting and loading material. Engineering and permit documents may be required depending on the work.
The site review records the building type, access limits and elements that must remain. Utility owners and the appropriate licensed trades must complete or confirm required disconnects before demolition reaches affected services. Designated-substance information must also be available as required by Ontario law, with asbestos work addressed under Ontario Regulation 278/05 before affected material is disturbed.
During demolition, the crew follows the planned sequence and maintains the work zone established for the project. Material is kept within controlled areas and moved using equipment suited to the site. The written scope identifies what is removed, what is protected and the expected condition at handover. MetroPoint does not replace the project engineer or municipal authority, but works to the documents and conditions issued for the job.
