A reception desk may combine furniture, fixed millwork, power/data and decorative wall finishes. Identify those components rather than treating the whole reception area as one removable object. The adjacent office layout can remain if its boundary and service interfaces are agreed.

The tenant should confirm ownership and the planned collection or relocation.
Fixed millwork
List counter sections, bases, wall fixings and attached panels within the removal scope.
Connected devices
The tenant’s providers and appropriate trades release data, security and electrical components before affected removal.
Look behind the public face of the desk
Photographs from both the visitor side and the working side help show cabinetry, cable routes and adjoining panels. Remove confidential contents through the tenant’s own process before the work area is released. Do not include access-control equipment or base-building devices merely because they sit on the counter.
A different replacement footprint may expose unfinished flooring or wall surfaces. Have the fit-out designer resolve those interfaces before assuming demolition will produce a finished open lobby. If part of the counter remains, number its sections and identify the exact joint where the new boundary falls.
